1. GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS

1.1. Bouldering is an inherently extreme sport, and all users must take personal responsibility and follow the Climbing Safety Rules explained in Section 4.7.Main Safety Rules When Climbing to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the centre. Not complying with these rules may result in injury or, ultimately, death. Climbing at Boulder is at your own risk.

1.2. All customers must complete a waiver form before using the facilities. Minors(under 18) must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

1.3. Customers must act with courtesy and respect towards staff and other climbers.Abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the facility.

1.4. Any damaged or loose holds, safety hazards, or facility issues must be reported immediately to staff.

1.5. Customers who are part of groups or organizations (e.g., clubs, school groups, sports tour guides) must inform management in advance if they plan to include our facility as part of their activities or guide lists. These groups must comply with the guidance, rules, and conditions of the centre. We reserve the right to approve or decline participation as an organization and to discuss preferred timing for such activities.

1.6. No external climbing coaches or trainers are allowed without prior consent fromBoulder Qatar.

1.7. The gym reserves the right to refuse entry or membership renewal at its discretion.

1.8. Smoking, including electronic cigarettes and vaping, is strictly prohibitedinside Boulder Qatar and within its premises.

1.9. Food and drinks are strictly prohibited on the mats. Only water in sealedbottles is allowed in climbing areas.

1.10. Customers must follow staff instructions at all times. Failure to comply mayresult in removal from the premises.

2. MEMBERSHIP & ENTRY CONDITIONS

2.1. Memberships are non-transferable. Customers must check in with their personalmembership card on every visit.

2.2. Lost membership cards must be reported immediately. A replacement card incurs afee of QAR 50.

2.3. Membership cards must be returned at the end of the membership period.

2.4. Monthly memberships are automatically renewed unless cancelled at least 30 daysbefore the renewal date. Refunds will not be provided after automatic renewal.

2.5. Special promotions or discounts may not be applied retroactively.

3. MINORS AND INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

3.1. The minimum age for climbing is 10 years old.

3.2. Climbers aged 10–18 must be accompanied and supervised in close proximity by their parent/legal guardian at all times. The supervision ratio for children is strictly 1:1, meaning one adult may supervise a maximum of one child at a time.

3.3. Parents are fully responsible for ensuring the safety of their children at alltimes.

3.4. Parents or legal guardians supervising a child are not permitted to climb whilesupervising and must remain attentive at all times.

3.5. Minors or individuals with special needs may only access the facilities or participate in activities at Boulder with the explicit consent of at least one parent or legal guardian. The parent or legal guardian agrees that the minor or individual with special needs may use the facilities and/or participate inactivities at Boulder in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions andRules of Use, which are publicly available at the Boulder facilities and on its website. All participants, regardless of age, background, condition, or needs, are expected to adhere to the safety rules at all times.

3.6. Supervisors of minors are exempt from paying an entry fee.

3.7. Boulder reserves the right to deny entry to the facilities, or limit access tominors, for safety reasons or inappropriate behaviour.

4. SAFETY & FACILITY USAGE

4.1. Proper climbing attire is mandatory. Climbing without a shirt, in excessivelyloose clothing, or wearing jewellery is not allowed.

4.2. Climbing shoes, whether rental or personal, must be worn on climbing surfaces.Barefoot climbing is strictly prohibited.

4.3. The use of chalk should be minimal and controlled. Chalk bags must be placedoff the mats or in designated areas.

4.4. Laying or sitting down on the mats is not allowed unless actively climbing orspotting.

4.5. Running or rough play in the climbing area is not permitted.

4.6. Climbers must ensure landing zones are clear before starting a climb.

 

4.7. Main Safety Rules When Climbing:

To help prevent injury and ensure a safe climbing environment for everyone, all climbers must follow these essential safety rules:

  • Always down climb whenever possible: Jumping from height is dangerous and should be avoided.
  • Be aware before starting your climb: It is the responsibility of the climber on the mat to check their surroundings and look above before climbing. Another climber may be directly overhead, and beginning your climb could put both of you at risk.
  • Avoid climbing directly above or too close to another climber to maintain a safe distance and prevent accidents.
  • Use the mats responsibly: They are there to reduce risk—not eliminate it. Never run, roughhouse, or lounge in busy landing zones.
  • Failure to follow these rules may result in injury and could lead to suspension of access to the facility. By entering the premises, all climbers agree to take personal responsibility for their actions and understand the inherent risks associated with bouldering.

4.8. Customers are fully responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Boulder provides lockers in the changing rooms for secure storage of valuables and personal items. It is recommended that all customers use these lockers to ensure the safety of their belongings while on the premises. Boulder is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.

4.9. Private areas, such as staff rooms, storage areas, and any other restricted zones within the facility, are strictly off-limits to customers. Access to these areas is prohibited unless authorized by management or staff for specific, approved purposes.

5. WOMEN-ONLY CLIMBING HOURS

5.1. During women-only climbing sessions, only female climbers and designated female staff are permitted in the climbing area.

5.2. Men must respect these allocated times and refrain from entering the climbing area.

6. MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY

6.1. Personal photography is allowed but must not interfere with other climbers’experience.

6.2. Customers consent to being included in gym promotional materials unless theyexplicitly opt out at reception.

6.3. Professional photography or media shoots require prior approval from BoulderQatar management.

7. OPENING HOURS & HOLIDAY CLOSURES

7.1. Our opening hours will be available on our website. Any changes to the schedule, including holiday closures, will be announced on our website and social media platforms.

8. CANCELLATION POLICY

8.1. Auto renewal memberships must be cancelled with a minimum of 30 days notice before the renewal date.

8.2. No refunds will be issued for early cancellations or unused portions of memberships.

9. NOVICE CLIMBING GUIDELINES

9.1. First-time climbers must either attend an induction session or correctlyrespond to safety questions before being allowed to climb independently.

9.2. New climbers should start on beginner-friendly routes and gradually progress.

9.3. Climbing beyond one’s ability without proper technique or control is discouraged.

9.4. By entering Boulder, all climbers agree to abide by these rules. Failure tocomply may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent expulsionfrom the gym.

10. IMAGE USAGE FOR MARKETING

10.1. Boulder Qatar may take photos or videos during sessions or events for marketing purposes across digital and print platforms.

10.2. By entering the facility, you grant permission for your image, likeness, or voice to be used unless you explicitly opt out by informing reception in writing.

10.3. Requests to remove previously published content featuring your image will be honoured when reasonably possible.

10.4. No images will be sold or distributed to third parties outside the BoulderQatar brand.

11. CONFIDENTIALITY OF DATA

11.1. All personal data collected, including names, contact details, emergency contacts, and waiver forms, will be stored securely and used solely for operational, safety, and communication purposes within Boulder Qatar.

11.2. Your information will not be shared with third parties except as required bylaw or with your written consent.

11.3. Customers may request access to their personal data or request its deletion at any time in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11.4. Boulder Qatar complies with all relevant data protection regulations and takes data security seriously.
